Connecting a gateway is a mandatory step that must be completed before you will be able to accept donations.

To connect a payment gateway, select My Account, then click on Gateways.

Next, click New Gateway.

From the drop-down menu, select the kind of gateway you are connecting.

Select Stripe

Click "Connect Stripe" to start the process of connecting either your existing Stripe account or to create and connect a new Stripe account.

Create or Sign-in

It's a requirement to have a Stripe account before proceeding to this step. Visit https://dashboard.stripe.com/register to sign up for an account if you don't have one already. After this is done, you can proceed with the steps below.

Input your login details and click the Log in button to proceed:

You will be asked to provide some information about your business, personal and customer support details. Fill that in the appropriate fields and submit it.

About your business:

Personal details: It is a requirement to have someone authorized to sign on your organization/Church's behalf to complete this part.

Customer Support details: this information will be available in your payment statements, invoices, and receipts for donors to use in a situation where they need to reach out.

After submitting the required information, you will be asked to put in the details for your payouts account. That is usually a checking account.

The last part is to review all provided information to ensure they are accurate or make changes if you have to and hit the submit button.

You will be redirected to your Txt2give dashboard, where you can validate the payment gateway's status as active.

All that's left to do now is to "Complete a test donation".

Do not skip this step! Your unique giving information is included in the Welcome email that we sent. Doing a test donation is how you will know if your connection was successful or not. If you receive an error, that is coming from Stripe's system letting you know that your connection was not successful. Let us know if you receive an error during your test donation and we will help you to resolve the issue. You can contact us at support@txt2give.co.
