NOTE: PayPal Express Checkout does not currently allow for recurring (automatic/scheduled) donations to be created in our system.

NOTE: PayPal Express Checkout will not collect occupation/employer information required for Political Fundraising.

To connect a payment gateway, select My Account, then click on Gateways.

Next, click New Gateway.

From the drop-down menu, select the kind of gateway you are connecting.

Enter your PayPal Business Account email address and click Create Gateway.

After you've been redirected to the PayPal login page, re-enter your PayPal Business Account email address, select your country, and click Next (see below). 

Next, you will be directed back to your Txt2Give dashboard by clicking the corresponding button (see below).

When set-up is complete and successful, you will see that the Gateway is Active and that its status is Authorized (see below).

Do not skip this step!  Your unique giving information is included in the Welcome email that we sent.  Doing a test donation is how you will know if your connection was successful or not.  If you receive an error, that is coming from PayPal's system letting you know that your connection was not successful.
