Connecting a gateway is a mandatory step that must be completed before you will be able to accept donations.
To connect Authorize.net, select My Account, then click on Gateways.
Next, click New Gateway.
From the drop-down menu, select the kind of gateway you are connecting.
Select Authorize.net
Enter your API Login ID & Transaction Key
make sure you enter your Authorize.net API Login ID and Transaction Key here. Not your Authorize.net username and password.
these credentials are case sensitive
If you don't know your API Login ID & Transaction Key follow the steps below:
After you've been redirected to the Authorize.Net website, select Settings (see below).
From the Settings page, under Security Settings, select API Credentials & Keys (see below).
Here you'll find your API Login ID (see below).
Do a test donation
Do not skip this step! Your unique giving information is included in the Welcome email that we sent. Doing a test donation is how you will know if your connection was successful or not. If you receive an error, that is coming from Authorize.net's system letting you know that your connection was not successful. Below are a couple of things to double-check before contacting Authorize.net about the error message you've received.
make sure you enter your Authorize.net credentials, not your Txt2Give credentials
